Panasonic's Lumix DMC-TZ3 Receives TIPA Award for Best Superzoom Digital Camera 2007
Panasonic is pleased to announce that the Lumix DMC-TZ3 has received the prestigious TIPA Award for Best Superzoom Digital Camera 2007. TIPA is an independent association of photo and imaging experts, representing 12 countries across Europe. The eminent TIPA Award is presented for superiority in quality, performance and value, distinguishing the best from each classified category.
It is easy to see why the DMC-TZ3 scooped such a distinguished award, packing a remarkable 10x optical zoom into a compact, stylish body while featuring a 28mm wide-angle Leica DC lens (equivalent to 28-280mm on a 35mm film camera) for wide-angle shooting. The TZ3 also combines solutions for both major causes of blurred images ? O.I.S when you are moving, and Intelligent ISO Control when the subject is moving.
TIPA official comment: "With a 10x Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens equivalent to 28-280mm, the small Lumix DMC-TZ3 provides a new step forward in the battle against blur. Stabilisers can compensate for camera shake, but not for the movement of the subject in low light conditions. Combining the well-known Mega O.I.S. optical stabiliser with the new Intelligent ISO Control feature, Panasonic offers a world-first solution to capture sharp images in most lighting conditions. The camera?s image-processing Venus Engine III is able to detect the movements of the subject and, if necessary, automatically raise the ISO sensitivity to let the shutter work at a faster speed."
